Visa Requirements
US citizens do not need a visa for tourist or business travel for stays up to 90 days to Argentina. A valid US Passport is required and must have at least 6 months validity remaining.

International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever Required if arriving from an infected area within 5 Days.
A Visa is required for Official and Diplomatic passport holders.

TOURIST VISA REQUIREMENTS
How to apply:
• Request an appointment for a mandatory interview with the Consul at:
visas@consuladoargentino.net.
• Bring the following documents to the interview:
1. Fully completed and signed Argentina Visa Application 2016
2. Valid signed passport with at least six months remaining validity
3. Copy of the first page of the passport.
4. One recent photo (passport size).
5. Notarized letter from employer or school attended, stating your position, the time
you have been employed and you annual income. The letter must be in ORIGINAL
(no photocopy or scan).
6. Proof of sufficient means of support (last Bank statement).
7. Round trip ticket/itinerary.
8. Proof of hotel reservations.
9. Proof of legal residence status in the USA (copy of green card or valid visa if
applies).
10. A $50.00 Money Order, payable to “Consulado Argentino” for the Consular fee
(no personal check or cash will be accepted). Citizens from India and Morocco are
waived from tourist visa fees.
Estimated processing time: approximately, 10 days after interview

- Copy of the first page of the passport.
- One recent photo (passport size).
- Notarized letter from employer or school attended, stating your position, the time you have been employed and your annual income. The letter must be in ORIGINAL (no photocopy or scan).
- Proof of sufficient means of support (last Bank statement).
- Round trip ticket/itinerary.
- Proof of hotel reservations.
- Proof of legal residence status in the USA (copy of green card or valid visa if applies).
- Letter from the Company/Organization in Argentina inviting the applicant. The company must be registered in the “Registro Nacional Unico de Requirentes de Extranjeros” (RENURE) of the “Dirección Nacional de Migraciones” (Immigration Authority).
- Name, nationality and passport number of the applicant.
- RENURE`s number of the inviting company.
- A brief description of the activity to be performed in Argentina.
- Length of stay in Argentina.
- The letter should be addressed to the “Consulate of Argentina in Houston” in Spanish.
- This letter must be signed by a responsible party, WHO MUST BE REGISTERED AT RENURE AS “APODERADO” OR “FIRMANTE”.
- The letter must be signed before a Notary Public and certified by The Public Notaries Association (Colegio Nacional de Escribanos).

Fees
In addition to the standard Iratex fees, the following consular fees apply: Business : A U$S 100.00 Money Order, payable to “Consulado Argentino” for the Consular fee (no personal check or cash will be accepted). Citizens from India and Morocco are waived from “business visa” fees. Tourist: A $50.00 Money Order, payable to “Consulado Argentino” for the Consular fee

waived from tourist visa fees.
Any other US citizen who wishes to travel to Argentina for any purpose other than tourism or business negotiations (e.g. work, study, adoption, immigration, or stays longer than stipulated in the entry requirements) should contact our office.
