Visa Requirements

Tourist or Business Visa

  1. Your valid, signed US passport with at least four months of remaining validity
  2. Fully completed and signed Armenia Visa Application Form
  3. Passport photograph
  4.  International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever  Required if arriving from an infected area within 5 Days.

No official letter of invitation is required from Armenia to obtain a single-entry visa if the duration of stay will be 21 days or less. A tourist/ordinary visa is issued.

For stays of longer than 21 days an official invitation from a qualifying entity in Armenia is required

No consular fee is charged for children under age 16, or for diplomatic visas.

Visa Notes

If you are transiting through the Russian Federation to or from Armenia, a Russian transit visa must also be obtained.

The Armenian visa is usually valid for entry within three months from date of issue, for length of stay of up to 21 days. Multiple entry visa can be issued for stay of up to 90 days. Official invitation from Foreign Ministry is required, consular fee is $70 for processing in 7 to 10 days, $140 for processing in 3 business days.

For stays longer than three months, a residency permit must be obtained through the Foreign Ministry in Yerevan.

A transit visa is required if Armenia is a stopping point to travel on to other countries. This type of visa can be obtained only in case of having basic visa. Transit visas are valid for three days.
