Below are the Visa Requirements
A valid passport, visa, and proof of onward/return ticket are required. As of January 2007, the Guinea-Bissau Embassy in Washington, DC is temporarily closed. The Embassy of Guinea-Bissau does not have a web site. Due to lack of consular representation in the U.S., it is difficult to obtain the required visa for entry into Guinea-Bissau. Some travelers are able to apply for visas at the Guinea-Bissau embassies in other countries, such as Senegal or Portugal.

Tourist Visa
- A valid, signed US passport. The passport must have at least 6 months remaining after the completion of your stay in Guinea-Bissau, and contain at least one blank visa page.
- Two (2) fully completed and signed Guinea-Bissau Visa Application
- Two (2) passport photographs
- Copy of round trip airline tickets or itinerary
- International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever
Business Visa
- A valid, signed US passport. The passport must have at least 6 months remaining after the completion of your stay in Guinea-Bissau, and contain at least one blank visa page.
- Two (2) fully completed and signed Guinea-Bissau Visa Application
- Two (2) passport photographs
- Copy of round trip airline tickets or itinerary
- International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever
- A business letter of introduction and financial responsibility is required to be typed on your company letterhead and addressed to: Embassy of Guinea- Bissau This letter must be signed by a company officer other than the traveler, and should:
- state the nature of business to be performed;
- include the name and address of the company to be visited;
- guarantee sufficient financial support during visit; and
- guarantee return transportation to the US for the applicant.
