Visa Requirements

US Citizens

US citizens do not need a visa for tourist or business travel to this country, but a valid US Passport is required.

Any US citizen who wishes to travel to Senegal for any purpose other than tourism or business negotiations (e.g. work, study, adoption, immigration, or stays longer than stipulated in the entry requirements) should contact the embassy or nearest consulate directly.

Non-US Citizens

Tourist Visa

  1. A valid, signed US passport. The passport must have at least 6 months remaining after the completion of your stay in Senegal, and contain at least one blank visa page.
  2. Fully completed and signed Senegal Visa Application
  3. Two (2) passport photographs
  4. Copy of US Alien Registration Card (Green Card)
  5. Copy of itinerary or airline tickets showing round trip
  6. Confirmed hotel reservation or letter from a Senegalese host or a letter from a tour operator for organized tour group.

Business Visa

  1. A valid, signed US passport. The passport must have at least 6 months remaining after the completion of your stay in Senegal, and contain at least one blank visa page.
  2. Fully completed and signed Senegal Visa Application
  3. Two (2) passport photographs
  4. Copy of US Alien Registration Card (Green Card)
  5. Copy of itinerary or airline tickets showing round trip
  6. Confirmed hotel reservation or letter from a Senegalese host or a letter from a tour operator for organized tour group.
  7. Letter of financial support from employer or from Senegalese business

Fees

In addition to the standard Iratex fees, the following consular fees apply: $8.87 per visa for a stay up to 30 days.

Visa Information

Processing time: approx 72 hours (4 business days)

The visa is usually valid for a single entry within 90 days of the date of issue, for a period of stay not to exceed 30 days.
