Visa Requirements

Who is exempted?

Members of COMESA: Angola, Burundi, Comoros, Eritrea, Kenya, Malawi Mauritius, Madagascar, Rwanda, Seychelles, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Others exempted are: Antigua & Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Fiji, Gambia, Grenada, Jamaica, Lesotho, Malta, Sierra Leone, Singapore Solomon Islands St Vincent & the Grenadines, Tonga, Vanuatu, Italy (Only diplomatic passport holders) and Cyprus.

Tourist Visa

  1. A valid, signed US passport. The passport must have at least 6 months remaining after the completion of your stay in Uganda.
  2. A  fully completed Electronic Application   ONLINE   You will not have a traditional application print out . You will  Print the confirmation page Uganda Sample Confirmation 2017
  3. One passport photograph  
  4. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever
  5. Non-US Citizens must submit either a notarized copy of the front and back of their green card or must have a valid US visa stamped into the passport with the original I-94 card stapled into the passport.
  6.  Copy of round trip airline tickets or itinerary, or letter of confirmation from travel agent

Business Visa

  6. Copy of round trip airline tickets or itinerary, or letter of confirmation from travel agent
  7. A business letter of introduction and financial responsibility is required to be typed on your company letterhead and addressed to: Embassy of Uganda, Visa Section, Washington, DC. This letter must be signed by a company officer other than the traveler, and should:
    1. state the nature of business to be performed;
    2. include the name and address of the company to be visited;
    3. guarantee sufficient financial support during visit; and
    4. guarantee return transportation to the US for the applicant.

Fees

 

In addition to the standard Iratex fees, the following consular fees apply:
