Visa Requirements
No visas are required for citizens of Hungary, Poland, Mongolia, Lithuania and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (except Turkmenistan).
No invitation letters are necessary for citizens of the Canada, Japan, Slovakia, and Turkey for obtaining official, business, private, cultural, or sports visas.
For a stay of up to 90 days. US citizens do not need a visa for tourist or business travel to this country, but a valid US Passport is required.
Tourist or Business Travel
- A valid, signed US passport. The passport must have at least 6 months remaining after the completion of your stay in the Ukraine, and contain at least one blank visa page.
- Fully completed and signed Ukraine Visa Application Form
- Two (2) passport photographs
- Copy of itinerary for urgent visas.
Tourist Visa
A letter of invitation from a Ukrainian or American travel agency, or confirmation from a hotel.
Business Visa
Letter of invitation no longer required
Religious Mission Visa
Your host in Ukraine must send an official invitation with the stamped approval from the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Kiev, or the office responsible for registering the host organization in Ukraine.
Fees
Normal processing time is 2 weeks. Rush fees apply to urgent applications. Visa fees are non-refundable if the application is rejected by the embassy for incomplete or incorrect data. Iratex is not responsible for incorrect applications.
In order to expedite visa, please include a copy of flight itinerary as proof of urgent departure date.
Visa issuance or adjustments are subject to a processing fee in US dollars payable to the Consulate General of Ukraine in New York only in the form of a Postal Money Order at the time of the application.
Cash, credit cards, personal or company checks are not accepted.
Fees must be paid in the amounts stated below and should not include a return postage.
In addition to the standard Iratex fees, the following consular fees apply:
VISA FEES for US citizens: ACCORDING TO THE NEW VISA REGULATION PROCEDURE ENTERS INTO THE FORCE SEPTEMBER 10, 2011:
Long-term one-entry visa (VD), which could be issued for applicants entering Ukraine with the purpose of obtaining documents permitting stay in Ukraine for the period of longer than 90 days. Within 45 days from the moment of entry to Ukraine a holder of long-term one-entry visa should apply to relevant authorities in Ukraine for a permanent/temporary residence permit. Consular fee will be $ 405 for employment based visas, $ 160 for student visas, $ 230 for immigration visas, $ 190 for petition based visas, $ 230 for family reunion visas and $220 for all other purposes.

On the order of entry and residence in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea foreigners and stateless persons
Foreigners and stateless persons entering the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, Ukraine, in accordance with the law and international treaties of Ukraine. For foreigners from countries with visa entry procedures for obtaining a visa application should contact the embassy or consular offices of Ukraine abroad. Foreigners from countries with visa-free entry procedures may be in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol Ukraine only if crossing the border at border crossing points across the state border of Ukraine with putting notes in the relevant passport documents or immigration card. Failure to foreigners and persons without citizenship legislation of Ukraine at the time of entry and residence in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol shall entail liability under the laws of Ukraine, and may result in the imposition of international sanctions against them as individuals who support temporary occupation of the territory of Ukraine.

Visa Information
The Ukraine tourist or business visa is issued for a single entry or double entry within six months of issue date, for the dates of entry and exit not to exceed those stated on your application form and invitation or confirmation (for a maximum of six months).
Invitations from church organizations must be issued by the “Committee on Humanitarian Aid of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Ukraine.”
Double entry visas can be issued if travel documents specifies two entries or if a letter is attached to the application requesting a double entry and explaining why it is needed.
For a multiple entry visa, (available for commercial business travel only) submit invitation from registered company in Ukraine, specifying travel is for multiple entry for a period of up to four (4) years. Consular fee is $165.00 per visa. Note: Issue time for this visa is never less than ten days at present.
Invitations must bear the seal of the issuing company or organization.
Exchange-Students (US Citizens): A proper invitation is required.
Some nationalities may require a letter of invitation. Iratex can help in obtaining a travel voucher which can be used in
place of the invitation.
Applicants holding passports issued by the following countries must allow at least 12 business days for their visa application to be processed: Angola, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Ghana, India, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Democratic Republic of Congo, China, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Syria, Somali, Sri-Lanka.
Citizens of the above-mentioned countries must additionally submit the following documents:
- Proof of re-entry to the USA (A copy of valid US Resident Alien Card, US Temporary Resident Card, employment authorization, etc.)
- Original letter of invitation (No fax or e-mail copies) made through a Ukrainian “Visa and Registration Office”
(For all types of visas).
